Shaun Cooke
Sabi Sands, South Africa
Shaun is a South African-born former safari guide whose work is shaped by a lifelong connection to the wild. Raised in New Zealand before returning to South Africa to pursue a childhood dream, he followed in the footsteps of his father, Chris Cooke, becoming a ranger in the Sabi Sands - guiding in the very same reserve where he once worked at Kirkman’s Kamp.
Immersed in nature and driven by a deep respect for the land and its stories, Shaun developed a passion for capturing authentic, untold moments in the field. Through Eye of the Guide, he channels this experience into a platform that empowers guides to share their unique perspectives, bringing the raw beauty and intimacy of the natural world closer to those who seek it.
